NBC’s much loved satirical sitcom series, Parks and Recreation, completed seven successful seasons spanning from 2009 to 2015. With 14 Primetime Emmy-wins and a Golden Globe for the lead actress Amy Poehler, Parks and Rec has served some highly acclaimed belly laughs on TV!
Let’s take a look at what the amazing ensemble cast is up to now:
Amy Poehler – Leslie Knope
Amy Poehler as Leslie Knope was such a lovable person
The leading lady is the creator and executive producer for Russian Doll, a Netflix series, and continues her women empowerment initiative through Smart Girls at the Party. Not only that, her memoir, Yes Please hit number one on the New York Times Best Seller list upon release.
Rashida Jones – Ann Perkins
This beauty led the police parody, Angie Tribeca, and has since moved onto the Netflix series, BlackAF. She’s also a co-writer on everyone’s favorite, Toy Story 4!
Nick Offerman – Ron Swanson
One can never forget the all-inspiring Ron Swanson!
Amy Poehler and Nick appeared on the 2018 reality show Making It and shared their amazing chemistry once again. He also appeared on Fargo, Good Omens, and Bad Times at the El Royale.
Aziz Ansari – Tom Haverford
Aziz Ansari is taking a break from the spotlight
Aziz hit the jackpot with Master of None right after Parks and Rec’s massive success. He has since shied away from the limelight due to some misconduct allegations.
Chris Pratt – Andy Dwyer
Chris has probably had the best career glow-up from this cast since he has graduated to the MCU as Peter Quill in the Avengers franchise. Not to mention the fantastic Jurassic Park movies where he plays the lead character! He married Katherine Schwarzenegger in 2019 and has now started a new family.
Aubrey Plaza – April Ludgate
Aubrey has landed some great movies, including Child’s Play and Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World. She has also guest-starred in TV series like Castle and Criminal Minds and plays the significant role of the Shadow King in FX’s Legion.
Adam Scott – Ben Wyatt
Adam Scott’s shenanigans make us laugh easy on Wet Hot American Summer and The Good Place. But the real winner is the Emmy-winning Big Little Lies, in which he stars alongside the top women of the industry like Reese Witherspoon and Nichole Kidman!
Rob Lowe – Chris Traeger
The six-time Golden Globe nominee has acted on Code Black since Parks and Rec. Fox’s 9-1-1: Lone Star is his latest project, and Lowe has also ventured into directing.
Jim O’Heir – Jerry Gergich
Jim has got a number of movie roles since the series ended, but his sitcom appearances remain fan-favorites. The Neighborhood and Brooklyn Nine-Nine are just some of these.
Retta – Donna Meagle
Coming to the spotlight with Comedy Central’s Premium Blend – a stand-up comedy show, Retta is now portraying Ruby Hill on Good Girls.
