The South Korean festival in South Korea, attracts one of the largest numbers of visitors worldwide. Your skin will love the mineral-rich mud, transported from Boryeong mud. Because of its many benefits, it is useful for many things.
This includes mud races, mud wrestling, mud sliding, mud fireworks, and more things related to mud. It is not all about mud, though, as Boryeong offers an entertaining lineup too. The two-week festival lasts for about two weeks, and you can see the festival for yourself around July.
Tomatina Festival, Spain
Paint the town red with tomatoes, well that’s the basic idea of the festival. Also, while you may freak at the thought of getting hit by tomatoes, don’t worry, as there are a few rules that you should follow. La Tomatina takes place on the last Wednesday of August each year in town Valencia, Spain. There are one thousand metric tonnes of tomatoes that are hurled all around, and after that, there is a cool party that offers even more fun. However, you need to book in advance as they only allow the first 20,000 entries each year.
Monkey Buffet Festival, Thailand
How does a treat of grilled sausage, fresh fruit, ice cream sound to you? Well, don’t rush it yet, as these treats and more are all for monkeys. We wonder how they invite the monkeys, but over 600 monkeys land up in a small province of Lopburi, Thailand, on the 25th of November each year.
And monkeys, go wild over the delectable treats. Also, there is lots more stuff for humans, right from dance like a monkey in monkey masks and costumes. You got to let the inner monkey out of you. Invented in 1989 by a local businessman, the idea was to boost business and put Lopburi province on the map. It was successful as people thronged there in thousands to catch sight of monkeys being monkeys!
A Yorkshire Pudding Festival, Britain
A Yorkshire pudding is one of the key ingredients in Northern English cuisine. The crust is made up of flour and eggs and is crispy outside and soft and chewy inside. But what has a pudding got to do with a festival? At the Yorkshire pudding festival, everything is made with waterproof yacht varnish and then used as a boat. The idea was initially used to make inexpensive rescue boats in severe flooding times and is now a full-blown festival.
