Vegetarians and vegans show more signs of introversion than their fellow, outgoing non-vegan eaters. As weird as this may sound, studies even claim that it is because people who follow a plant-based diet are not invited to too many gourmet meal dates!

German analysts conducted a survey on people, their diet plans, and how social they are. Here’s what they found out:
– People who don’t fancy some meat show more signs of introversion.
– It is not proven whether the diet causes this behavioral stigma or if people who are naturally introverted choose a much-restricted diet plan!
– Additionally, it was concluded that people who eat less meat have a relatively lower Body Mass Index (BMI).
In Germany, where the study was conducted, vegetarianism/veganism is at its peak—with 6.1 million citizens stated that they were restricting meat from their diet. Statistics show that there is a huge increment with 400,000 more people choosing to eat more veggies.
In the same study conducted by, Allensbach Institute for Public Opinion Research, it was found that an individual’s food regime has a lot to do with both their psychology and BMI.
So, next time you choose what to have for dinner, know that you really are what you eat!
People who participated were asked to record their choices, how often they ate a certain kind of food over the cause of a year. They were also asked to notice the level of anxiety and depression they underwent in day-to-day life. This was assessed by tests and medical exams that follow mental health guidelines.
The investigators observed several other neurotic traits connected to both predominant herbivores and their non-restricted, meat-eating counterparts.
Time and again, they noticed how the latter were more extroverted, outgoing, and quite “social” as well. It was also found that more anxious people have a tendency to restrict their choices of food in order to impede their social life and blend in!
This analysis was completely based on avoiding meat, and no reciprocity was found.
However, depressive moods could also be a result of several other factors, including personal traits, habits, and physical factors like related body mass and weight.

Vegetarianism/Veganism is not only extremely common in today’s world, but is also widely accepted in almost all demographics, traditions, and cultures.
Here are some super cool facts about food and relative physical health:
– Eating less meat means less processed food, less saturated cholesterol, and therefore less body fat. This results in contained body weight and a lower BMI.
– Food items that contain more fat have a kick at your appetite, making you hungry often. The more you avoid animal-based food, the less you will be attracted to consume fatty foods.
– Vegetables and other plant-based food are rich in dietary fiber and make you feel full for long.
– A diet enriched with vegetarian products reduces the absorption of energy. That makes you feel less fatigued and more energetic.
